New accommodation moving into CRU Galston Gorge (2003)
Following the 2000 Sydney Olympics, CRU had an incredible opportunity to purchase buildings that had been used for the Olympic games, and airlift them to CRU Galston Gorge! These buildings became our onsite accommodation of Tree Tops and Valley View, and provided a much-needed upgrade that significantly increased the number of campers we were able to host on site.
We’ve seen God work in incredible ways through our Galston campsite – with thousands of campers indicating that they made a decision for Christ at CRU Galston Gorge.
But after more than 20 years of use, Tree Tops and Valley View are in important need of repair. The roofs on these buildings need to be replaced in the next year, to ensure our accommodation continues to meet the high standard of safety we maintain across our site, as young people visit and hear about Jesus.
The cost of this maintenance is $128,000, and this expense will only increase the longer we wait to complete these repairs.
This Christmas, we’re hoping to gift these well-loved cabins a new roof, by funding this project before December 25th, so that we can repair our Galston site accommodation early in the new year.
Will you help us ensure that campers can continue hearing about the greatest gift of all?
